Med Pak cc T/A Carter Medical Supplies is your one-stop-wholesaler, a distributor of prescription medication, over the counter, front shop products as well as medical and surgical equipment to dispensing doctors, retail pharmacies, occupational clinics, private hospitals and other allied healthcare professionals in outlying and urban areas nationally.

Med Pak CC was founded by Gavin Evans over 35 years ago in 1987, supplying surgical equipment and packaging sundries. In the mid 90’s we expanded our range to include pharmaceutical products, which contributed to the growth of our business exponentially year on year. In 2001 we acquired Carter Medical Supplies, which allowed us to grow into new markets and due to our infrastructure already being in place, the acquisition proved to be a very smooth transition.

Med Pak have always been committed to ensuring that our valued customers are priority. For over 35 years our key objective has been to treat all our valued clients with a personal and professional touch that differentiates us in the healthcare industry, and we continue to maintain this culture throughout our organization.

Med Pak’s business model is different to other pharmaceutical wholesalers in the sense that the model was built around access to healthcare by servicing healthcare professionals and facilities in outlying areas across South Africa. Med Pak is the only regional wholesaler with a national footprint. Gavin continues to travel  the outlying areas in South Africa and engage with healthcare professionals.

We strive to achieve service excellence from the time of taking down an order to ensure that it is delivered on time and in full by utilizing a professional, pharmaceutical logistics company. At Med Pak, we pride ourselves in being able to offer a twice a day delivery service to local customers, overnight service to regional customers and 24 hours to most outlying areas across South Africa.

Our business model delivers an effective supply chain with rapid replenishment, efficient service and competitive pricing to ensure agility and flexibility in order to meet the needs of our customers. We have relationships with over 250 suppliers and stock over 10 000 products and will continue to grow our range in a meaningful way to ensure that we service our customer’s needs most effectively. Our complete service offering includes procurement, warehousing, sales, delivery, debtors-administration & marketing.

In 2018, we moved to a new, air-conditioned pharma-grade facility in Westmead, Pinetown with a capacity to grow our product range and meet the diverse needs of our customer base efficiently and effectively. We have embarked on a marketing strategy to grow the Med Pak brand within the doctor and pharmacy market in KZN as well as other regions in order to increase our customer base nationally.
